School in Tatagui
(pronounced ta-ta-gee) Village OF KINDIA
The foundation has been laid and the walls are going up in various stages
for the primary school in Guinea ( Kindia region) located in the western
portion of the country, bordered by Sierra Leone and the regions
of Conakry, Labé, Mamou, and Boké. Kindia is located in the breathtaking
mountains of Guinea. This is a beautiful, serene, green, bountiful
area. The school is in Tatagui. The present school has one
room and accommodates over 33 children.
Our immediate goals are to:
1) renovate the existing building
2) construct a new school
3) build a co-located deep water well
4) build (2) latrines for students and teachers
5) provide back-to-school student and teacher supplies.
